ABSTRACT

Bródy’s use of the spectral ratio and the investigation on the stability properties of the economies had an unintended effect, namely, the research on the actual distribution of eigenvalues of the system’s matrices. In answering this question, we pick the required terms from an eigendecomposition for a tolerably good approximation and explain the probable trajectories of prices induced by the changes in distribution associated with the wage rate of profit curves. In grappling with the mystery of eigenvalue distribution of the systems’ matrices, we end up constructing technology matrices utilizing just the first few eigenvalues and the eigenvectors associated with them. Hence, the focus of this chapter is on the detected skew characteristic value distribution of the vertically integrated technical coefficients matrices of actual economies and their effect on the observed near linearities in the price rate of profit trajectories.
