ABSTRACT

The Enterprise Excellence (EE) philosophy is a holistic approach for leading an enterprise to total excellence under the executive leadership by achieving a sustainable competitive advantage, significant growth in revenue and profitability, and a reduction in business cycle time while strategically managing the enterprise risk and primarily focusing on the needs of the customer. There are various organizations within an enterprise but they all focus on meeting or exceeding customer needs. Therefore, enterprise excellence is an integrated approach affecting every employee, every functional area and strategy within the organization. This principle applies to all sizes of enterprises (large or small), as well as to all types of enterprises (commercial or government, private or public). To address the EE philosophy, organizations must be focused on producing products and/or services using a variety of processes to meet or exceed customer demand, while simultaneously increasing profitability or margin. These processes occur in all functional areas including product conception, engineering, sales and marketing, financial, operations and services.
