Nonmaterial values shall be protected in accordance with the present Code and other statutes in cases and by the procedure provided by them and also in those cases and within those limits in which the use of methods of protection of civil law rights follows from the nature of the violated nonmaterial right and the nature of the consequences of this violation. In determining the amount of compensation for moral harm, the court shall take into account the degree of fault of the violator and other circumstances worthy of attention. A citizen has the right to demand in court the refutation of communications defaming his honor, dignity, or business reputation unless the person who disseminated such communications shows that they correspond to reality. A citizen, with respect to whom media of mass information have published communications defaming his rights or interests protected by a statute shall have the right to publish his answer in the same media of mass information.
