ABSTRACT

The psychology of machines delves into the interaction between humans and intelligent systems, exploring how we perceive and interact with these increasingly lifelike entities. It encompasses a wide range of topics, including human–machine communication, emotional intelligence in AI, trust and empathy in robotic companions and ethical considerations in the development and deployment of intelligent systems.

As technology continues to advance at an unprecedented pace, we find ourselves surrounded by intelligent machines and artificial intelligence systems that mimic human cognition. These machines, driven by algorithms and neural networks, are capable of learning, adapting and making decisions, raising important questions about their impact on our lives and society.

One crucial aspect of this field is human–machine communication. As machines become more integrated into our daily lives, they are tasked with understanding and interpreting human language and emotions. Natural language processing and sentiment analysis are just some of the techniques used to bridge the gap between human communication and machine understanding. The goal is to create seamless interactions, enabling machines to comprehend our intentions and emotions, leading to a more efficient and personalised experience.
