ABSTRACT
The conclusion gives a critical summary of the topics discussed in the main body of the book. It discusses the validity of the postmodern theory, the reasons for its limited influence to historians, and its still significant contributions to historical theory. After featuring the positive and the negative aspects of postmodernism based on the book’s argumentation line and its examples, it makes reference to the future of theory of history, the new streams of thought developed in the last decade, and how the previous ideas can be integrated into the newest historiographical projects.
