ABSTRACT

This chapter is a collection of childhood memories that point towards autism. In sifting through memories, the author tried to pick ones from different time periods of childhood life. First example is that of when the author was in a playgroup probably two or three years old, whereas for the second one in a different playground, the author would be around seven years old. In the playgroup, the lady who runs the nursery mentions to author's mother that the author does not play like the other children. Once in the playground, the author looked into the sun and saw light splinters in rainbows. The beauty of the scene prompted the author in wanting to be an illustrator. The chapter explores memories of hiding in the shadows and locking in the toilet cubicle. Finally, it explores the teenage years in the playground of the author.
