ABSTRACT
Not too far fetched may be the idea that the evolving business model will eventually lead to the next technological advance in documentation: Every clinician will wear a Bluetooth earpiece, with a mini-microphone and camera, allowing treatment to be monitored, controlled, recorded and instantly billed. This chapter speculates on the corrosive potential of such administrative intrusion, ultimately undermining the effectiveness and self-esteem of the staff.
