The Battle of Thermopylae 1. After ten years the Persians
led their men back to Greece. 2. It was in the year 490 B.C. that
the Athenians had conquered the Persians on the field of Marathon.
3. This year was 480 B.C. and this battle is called the Battle of Thermopylae.
