ABSTRACT
The superior vena cava (1), which carries de-oxygenated blood from the head, neck, upper limbs and thoracic wall, enters the right atrium. The pulmonary trunk (2) leaves the right ventricle and divides into the left (3) and right (4) pulmonary arteries that carry deoxygenated blood to each lung.
