ABSTRACT

Monitoring parameters are the process of evaluating the therapeutic outcomes using different measurements, and tools such as laboratory investigations to ensure the efficacy of medications, the safety of medications, and adherence to non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies and interventions. Treatment evaluation and monitoring errors and related problems can be defined as any intentional or unintentional errors or problems that occur during the evaluation of therapy outcomes and monitoring parameters. Treatment evaluation and monitoring errors and problems can have serious consequences on patient outcomes, so it's important to take steps to prevent them. This chapter covers the treatment evaluation and monitoring errors and problems, causes, prevention, and recommendations for the best practice in developing countries.
