ABSTRACT
In addition to sound field analysis, the physical and perceived performance of spatial sound can be objectively evaluated by binaural analysis. Binaural pressures analysis yields physical attributes related to auditory perceptions. Incorporating auditory model into analysis further reveals the perceived performance. This chapter presents the principle, method, and limitation of binaural analysis of spatial sound and provides some examples of analyzing spatial attributes and timbre in spatial sound reproduction.
