ABSTRACT

Pesticides are usually applied as liquid sprays or solids

(e.g., dusts and granules). Vehicle-mounted application

platforms usually involve spraying using aircraft (aerial

application), ground rigs, orchard airblast, or chemigation.

Hand-held equipment includes lever-or engine-operated

knapsack sprayers, and a variety of other sprayers such as

spinning disc and electrostatic sprayers. These tend to be

more common in developing countries where labor is often

cheaper than aircraft or ground equipment. Information on

hand-held applications can be found elsewhere.[1]
