ABSTRACT
Benchmark values are the before improvement values that are determined by measuring conditions at the start of improvement activities. In minor stoppage improvement projects, use the target equipment (or line) minor stoppage MTBF as the benchmark value. Obviously, unless you start out with this value, you cannot judge how much progress has been made during the improvement activities.
