ABSTRACT
This book is not intended to cover Web basics in detail. This chapter reviews a few basic terms that are required to understand how intranets can be managed. It offers a short introduction to Web basics. These basics are absolutely necessary to understand the applicability of management processes and tools to manage intranets.
