ABSTRACT

18.c.1. Andrews, J., Thiocyanate and smoking in pregnancy, J. Obstet. Gynaecol. Br. Commonw., 80, 810—814, 1973. Women who smoked during pregnancy had higher blood thiocyanate levels than nonsmokers. Cyanide and thiocyanate in tobacco may be responsible for increase in incidence of intrauterine growth retardation in infants of smokers.
