ABSTRACT
How do we know what is – or was – in another person’s mind? Such a question is critical in cognitive psychology and the philosophy of mind. Accordingly, the most fundamental question in cognitive archaeology and anthropology is how to gain access to an alien belief system, and especially the world-view of primitive or prehistoric peoples.
