Rogers, Human Life (1819); British Critic, 2nd Series, XI (April 1819), 437–443. This review, with those of Rogers’ Jacqueline found in this and other journals along with reviews of Byron’s Lara, shows that Rogers’ talents were recognized in his own day to be mediocre.
