ABSTRACT

An adult who stutters is asked, “What’s the bottom line?” and muses aloud for the key to managing speech. He expresses a variety of ideas, such as utilizing the information that’s right for you, accepting that stuttering cannot define you, embracing life’s trials, challenging yourself, being open with people you want to be open with you, dismissing the negative people from your life, and helping yourself by helping others. He finally lands on, “Say what you want to say, when you want to say it, even if you sometimes stutter.”
