ABSTRACT

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy is a rare autoimmune disease source of potential neurological disability due to motor and sensory disturbance. This diagnosis is difficult and requires careful explorations to avoid misdiagnosis of differential diagnosis. Three first-line immunomodulator therapies are available with 15–30% rate of unresponsiveness. We discuss in this chapter the epidemiology, pathophysiology, exploration, and diagnosis/differential diagnosis of the chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.
