ABSTRACT

The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to bring about significant changes in several industries, reshape everyday activities, and trigger fundamental upheavals in the technological domain. This comprehensive study examines the complex interplay between AI and the IoT, thoroughly examining their seamless integration, highlighting several existing applications, carefully analysing the accompanying difficulties, and visualising the limitless future possibilities. In this chapter, we present an in-depth study of the dynamic evolution and crucial function of AI inside the IoT ecosystem, relying on a diverse range of relevant scholarly research. The phenomenon known as Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), which represents the integration of AI with the IoT, exemplifies the forefront of technological progress in a globally interconnected world. It underscores the significance of intelligent systems and data-centric decision-making as fundamental pillars of societal advancement. The AIoT embodies the highest level of human creativity, wherein the virtual and tangible domains merge to establish sophisticated, self-governing mechanisms that revolutionise our understanding of interconnectedness and cognitive capabilities. This study emphasises the crucial role of AI as a driving force for transformation, facilitating the development of intelligent solutions that rely on data and have a pervasive impact on various facets of our daily existence.
