ABSTRACT

The management and security of clinical trial data have long been major challenges in the healthcare industry. Traditional data storage systems often struggle to provide the necessary security, transparency, and accessibility required for the sensitive nature of clinical trials. This chapter explores the innovative use of Ethereum blockchain technology as a solution for storing and managing clinical trials and records. We delve into the unique features and advantages of Ethereum blockchain, its potential applications, and the transformative impact it can have on healthcare data management. Clinical trial data management is a critical aspect of healthcare research, contributing to scientific advancements, treatment efficacy evaluations, and regulatory compliance. However, traditional data storage systems often fall short in terms of security, integrity, and accessibility. This literature survey explores the utilization of Ethereum blockchain technology as a transformative solution for storing and managing clinical trials and records. By reviewing existing literature, we aim to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities in this emerging field.
