ABSTRACT

Polyurethanes (PUs) are known for their ability to form supramolecular network structures. Here, we provide a concise description of PU-based corrosion inhibitors. A literature survey indicates that PUs are effective inhibitors for steel corrosion in acidic media. Their inhibition performance, the role of supramolecular architecture and mechanism of action could be further explored in various applications, including oil and gas sectors.
