Calmodulin (Calcium-Dependent Regulator) has been demonstrated in many animal and plant tissues. It appears to be a universal calcium-binding protein that activates a wide variety of enzymes such as phosphodiesterase (PDE), adenylate cyclase, NAD-kinase, protein kinase.
