ABSTRACT

This paper presents a frame of the doctoral research on PPG Design UAM-SP Fashion design and craftwork: subjectivation processes and resistance in the context of the IWC, and deals with the contemporary scenario in which sectors of the economy and culture come closer to present some relationships between Design and Craftwork in the Integrated World Capitalism (IWC) context. Key concepts from the theories of modeling of contemporary subjectivity and product homogenization (Guattari & Rolnik) are used as tools. From this critical apparatus, we have tried to approach the the fashion designer performance with artisan groups in the creative-productive processes, as well as to raise some of the socioeconomic forces and cultural resistance possibilities in the field of craftwork.
