ABSTRACT
It has been recognized over the past few decades that actions by humans have modified and altered the energy and mass exchanges that occur between the atmosphere, oceans, and biota, and researchers now understand that the changes being wrought on the planet could be beyond the resilience of natural systems to absorb. The consequence of these changes can also be a loss or a severe decline in the ecosystem
